sometimes it's the starting

sometimes it's the starting that prevents us from doing something. I've wanted to open up a vintage shop  for so many years now. talked about it for so long that I think my friends and family were tired of hearing me talk about it. and since I wasn't going to stop looking for things, these things needed to find new homes.  so here it is. it's a start...and to all my favorite vintage shops, I want to thank you for your inspiration and for all the work that I now realize goes into your shop. field and ramble is now open.

the bear's hopes

the new bear painting is for a fundraiser my talented friend jill is having for her dad. all the donations will go towards helping fund her father's recovery and continued fight against brain cancer. the event happens this sunday.  online donations will also be available. my fingers are crossed that they raise a lot of money as well as my hopes that her father recovers. so many amazing people donated such lovely things. you can see them here.

the 4 x 6 exchange

I was really happy to receive this in the post. It's the artwork I received from the 4 x 6 exchange. I feel so fortunate to own this lovely rabbit. the piece is called "march hare" and has silver leaf and embroidery on it. It was done by the talented Hazel Jarvis. You can see more of her work here.
